The demographical developments of population, the rapid advancements in the field of medicine, the increasing quality awareness in the healthcare and nursing care fields, the pressure to keep costs under control in the face of constant financial resources and last but not least the increasing demands of patients in regards to their own care require highly qualified healthcare managers. Leadership and management skills as well as the ability to work in a team are the skills that the industry is looking for. The degree program “Healthcare Management” offers students excellent qualifications with an academic title “Bachelor of Arts in Business” (BA).

Our graduates acquire expertise that is fundamental, based on sound research and evidence, application oriented and specifically designed for the field of healthcare relevant disciplines. Above and beyond this, our students attain the ability to analyze subjects methodically and to apply this skill in interdisciplinary settings. The degree program conveys additionally key skills such as the ability to act independently, social and communication skills, e.g. conflict management, cooperation, negotiations and language skills, as well as fundamental leadership and management competence.

In the 5th semester, an internship/work placement program is in place which can be performed domestically as well as internationally.
